Air Garden

B-24 BRONZE SCULPTURE DONORS

We gratefully acknowledge the many donors who so generously funded the commissioning of the B-24 bronze sculpture by Robert Henderson, shipping it to San Diego from Colorado and the sculpture's installation on its pedestal over the reflecting pool in the Air Garden. The B-24 is flying directly toward the location of the former Consolidated Aircraft Plant and has become the defining symbol of the Veterans Memorial Garden and the Veterans Museum and Memorial Center. It is a new landmark in Balboa Park.
